In a summery atmosphere, the Heidelberger Frühling Liedfestival immerses itself in the Lied and all its diversity. The genre is creatively rethought and presented in a wide variety of formats, including experimental and unconventional ones. There are guest performances, but also numerous in-house productions of the Liedzentrum such as the Lied.LABs. In addition, the Liedakademie 's year-round scholarship program, under the artistic direction of Thomas Hampson, will conduct its final work phase of the season during the festival - with public master classes in front of an audience and concerts by the current cohort of scholarship holders.
